Runway: Bohemian Rhapsody

  • From the INDESIGN section of Instore Magazine, Beth Bemstein reports on some hip bobbles:

Runway to Red Carpet to Retail:

THERE IS A SOPHISTICATED, bohemian feeling to this season’s jewelry. Bolder, more rough-hewn looks are tempered by a richness of color mixing. In addition, women are tending to wear only one statement piece at a time. Gem quality varies, from higher priced emeralds and sapphires to more accessible chrysoprase and lapis. Greens and blues dominate, either as one solid tone or mixed with black and milky white in polished rough and rose cuts and opaque cabochons. The looks are most prevalent in pendant necklaces and long, larger earrings. — STORY by BETH BERNSTEIN
